Course content: In all of my courses I teach hand-building techniques and how you can create beautiful pieces without a potter's wheel. During a weekend you will learn to build different shapes and objects, such as cups, plates, bowls, etc. I will demonstrate each technique and of course be at your side with tips and help the entire time. In the end you will be able to make several pieces. At the final appointment, I will provide you with a piece that I personally made, which you can use to learn how to glaze and which you can keep at the end. I explain some basic techniques and provide tips, demonstrate glazing on an object, and then help you design the provided pieces with different coloured glazes. Since your self-made pieces need to dry for a few days and have to be fired once before they can be glazed, I'll take care of the glazing here. You can choose your favourite colours from a small selection of my glazes. I will send all the glazed pieces home to you a few weeks after the end of the course (if you are there longer, you can of course also pick them up in person at the store - at least 1-2 weeks after the course). The shipping costs are determined individually depending on the destination country and are calculated in addition to the course price (you are welcome to contact me before booking the course to inquire about the shipping costs for your country). Who is this course suitable for? This course is suitable for absolute beginners as well as for people who have already gained their first experience and would like to delve a little deeper into the topic of hand-building technique and glazes. The course is for adults. The price includes all self-made pieces, materials and firings, a piece made by me and provided for glazing and of course the glazing of your pieces, which I will take care of after the course. Free pottery studio after the course Would you like to do a little more pottery after the course? On the course days I offer free pottery making for my course participants, where you can deepen the techniques you have learned and make additional pieces on your own.
