Online Course 3: Learn the Basics of Glazing

A course I wish I'd taken when I first started glazing :) (Here you'll find all the tips you need to start glazing, avoid mistakes, and achieve consistent results! Plus, you'll learn how to load and set up your kiln, how to fire your pieces if you don't own a kiln... and much more!)

In this course, I'll show you how to color your pottery using ready-made powder glaze. This course is especially suitable for those who are just beginning and want to delve deeper into the topic of glazing. Please note that this course does not include making your own glazes; I work exclusively with ready-made powder glazes that are mixed with water. In this course, I'll show you how this works and how you can achieve great results with little effort.

You'll get a detailed video demonstration with audio and text explanations, lots of helpful tips, and important theoretical knowledge about glazing. I'll provide lists of the materials and tools I use myself. You'll also receive useful information on how to set up your own kiln for glazing (using my own firing curves as an example) and where to fire your glazed pieces if you don't have your own kiln.

This course is a pre-produced, approximately one-hour video in which I cover many basic questions and topics related to glazing. If you have any questions during the course that I don't answer, you can email them to me after the course.

Here's how it works:

After you purchase the course and I receive payment, I'll send you an email with the video link within one day. The link will take you to the YouTube video, which is private and viewable only with this link. To watch it, you need a YouTube account. Please make sure you provide me with the email address linked to your YouTube account so I can grant you access to the private video.

What can you expect from this course?

This course is suitable for both absolute beginners and potters with some glazing experience who need helpful glazing tips, are frustrated by glazing failures, or are constantly experiencing changing glaze results.
